Tour of Black Leopard in Pench Safari
The southernmost part of Madhya Pradesh is home to one of the many national parks that can be found in India: the Pench National Park. Teak accounts for sixty percent of the park’s tree population, while the remaining forty percent is made up of a mixed forest that also contains garadi, palash baheda, saj, jamun, and many more species. The name of the National Park was originally brought to the attention of the general public by a tiger mother named Collarwali. She is the current holder of the Guinness World Record for having produced the greatest number of cubs in her lifetime, with 29. Her death from old age occurred on January 15, 2022, when she was just 16 years old.
The park has recently gained a lot of interest due to the appearance of a melanistic leopard known as the Black Panther. In the year 2020, there was a male leopard in the area that appeared to be entirely black all over, but he was unable to remain there for very long. As a consequence of this, he was expelled from the tourist area, and he subsequently established his own domain.
terrain that is not part of the area that is frequented by tourists. Since the month of June 2022, a girl with a dark appearance has been seen roaming the Teliya and Khursapar section of Pench National Park. Since a few of months ago, there has been an almost daily occurrence of sightings of the same thing.
The vast majority of the Mowgli characters, including the Black Panther in his role as Bagheera, the Sloth Bear in his role as Balu, the Tiger in his role as Sher Khan, the Wolves in their roles as the Pack of Akela and Racksha, Kaa in his role as an Indian Rock Python, and a great number of other characters, are still present in this itinerary, which will take you to Mowgli Land. Consequently, let’s go adventuring in Mowgli Land.

In the southern part of India, a total land area of 758 square kilometres is home to both tropical dry deciduous teak and tropical wet deciduous forest. The majority of the streams and “nallahs” that run through this region only flow during certain times of the year. In spite of the fact that the Pench River stops flowing at the end of April, there are a number of drinking holes, also known as “dohs,” that provide a source of water for the local fauna. During this time of severe water shortage, the sole significant source of water is the Pench Reservoir, which is situated in the middle of the park. Stay the night at the lodge owned by the Pench.
Day 04 to 05: In Pench National Park
Your search for the rare Black Panther should begin bright and early in the morning, and you should begin by taking a vehicle safari through the Teliya or Khawasa zone.
The Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh is home to three of the most common types of deciduous forests found in the southern hemisphere: southern tropical wet deciduous, southern tropical dry deciduous, and southern dry mixed deciduous forests. The Pench Tiger Reserve is an excellent example of a forest that is predominated by teak trees (Tectona grandis), and it also contains bamboo and other species that are scattered throughout, as well as a dense understory of bushes and open grassy patches. After the safari, make your way back to the accommodation.
Continue with the safari once you’ve had some time to relax and enjoy lunch. The Pench Tiger Reserve is home to a diverse population of animals, including the gaur (Bos gaurus), the sambar (Rusa unicolor), the chital (Axis axis), the wild pig (Sus scrofa), the barking deer (Muntiacus vaginalis), the four-horned antelope (Tetracerus quadricornis), and the chinkara (Gazella (Canisaureus).
Stay the night in the lodge owned by the Pench.
