Nature Safari India organized our private 2 Weeks Safari in Central India plus a couple of Sightseeing and we are very happy to having choose this agency. I found them on the responsible tiger tourism association (TOFTigers) and I liked them from the very first contact. From the first email more than two years ago to the end of our trip in April 2022, the service was great, the selection of the itinerary, Parks, lodges and guides was perfect. And this although the very difficult travel situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Our trip had to be postponed and rescheduled twice (we were supposed to travel at the end of March 2020), Mr. Deepkul was always very professional, competent, responsive and helpful with all my requests and he went the extra mile. We had a wonderful time in India, we saw a lot of tigers and wildlife, and we hope to come back soon. We warmly recommend Nature Safari India to everyone and in the future, we’ll surely book another tour with them.

We did 5 days of safaris with Sharad Vats's team, in Kanga and Pench, in April 2022. Right from the planning to the actual execution, Sharad was accessible, knowledgeable and helpful, to ensure we got a good experience. Not only was the itinerary planned and tweaked multiple times to suit us, but our accommodation and food needs were also taken care of well. We enjoyed the trip immensely, especially because Sharas understood that we were not just after tiger sightings, but enjoyed birds and trees and other wildlife too, and recommended an itinerary accordingly. The accommodation and food was great. And my particular need of a wifi connection even in these remote areas (because there was a study commitment I could not miss) was also met. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing and totally unforgettable trip to India organised by Nature Safari India, in particular Deepkul (and previously Manjeet). I organised the trip 2 years ago just as the pandemic hit, I had been communicating with Nature Safari India constantly for quite a few months until we finalised on an itinerary, nothing was too much trouble and replies to queries were almost instant. When it came to the actual holiday, all we had to do was get to New Delhi. (As a warning it isn't straightforward to get visas anymore) From then on all was taken care of. We were met at the airport and were looked after from that point, including checking us into the hotel and providing a car and driver for our exclusive use until we left New Delhi. We were driven from each location by drivers who looked after us incredibly well, stopped/slowed down if we wanted to take pictures, they also pointed out interesting sites as we passed. If you have time, I would recommend travelling by car to different locations, as you see a lot more of India. Deepkul monitored us through our whole holiday, checking that we were OK, getting reports from each of our guides and making sure we were happy with our holiday. Our guides and drivers, throughout, were fantastic, so friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful and polite.

Day 01 : Arrival in New Delhi

Stay at a New Delhi hotel for the night.

Lodging: The Roseate, Aerocity, or a comparable establishment

Day 02: New Delhi-Agra (Drive 220 kms, a 4-hour drive)

Travel to Agra after breakfast. The Agra Fort, built of red sandstone, is shaped like a crescent and rests on the banks of the Yamuna River, protected by formidable 20-meter-tall walls and a 12-meter-wide moat. This enormous building, which has elements of both Hindu and Muslim design, was commissioned by three different Mughal emperors: Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jehan. Our Agra hotel is our home for the night.

Stay at the Taj View Agra or a comparable hotel

Day 03: Agra – Ranthambore (Drive 265 kms/05 – 06 hour drive)

The Taj Mahal, a tomb for the Moghul ruler Shah Jehan’s wife Mumtaz Mahal, was constructed in the middle of the 17th century out of white marble. 17 years and almost 20,000 workers resulted in the completion of this structure in 1652; the builders were talented artisans from Persia, Turkey, France, and Italy.

After a leisurely breakfast, you can travel to Yamuna River’s banks to see the red sandstone AGRA FORT, which is shaped like a crescent and has intimidating 20-meter-high walls and a 12-meter-wide moat. This enormous building, which features elements of both Hindu and Muslim architecture, was commissioned by three Mughal emperors: Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jehan. There is no Friday service at the Taj. Leave your hotel room. After some time, travel the 265 kilometres (5-6 hours) to Ranthambhore National Park. Please check into the hotel upon arrival. We stayed at the Resort for dinner and the night.

Hotel: Oberoi Vanyavilas or equivalent

Day 04–05: In Ranthambore National Park

Tiger safaris in a jeep in the morning and afternoon at India’s Ranthambore National Park. There are three meals a day available at the resort: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The 400 square kilometres of Ranthambhore National Park are among the most impressive in India. This park is named for the thousand-year-old stronghold that towers over the forest and has an area of about km2 (square miles), including steep hill crests that drop to open valleys between the Aravalli and Vindhya mountains and are dotted with water pools and fruit trees. Ranthambhore, famous for its daytime tiger activity, is an exceptional place where natural beauty and ancient ruins coexist. Included are the sambar, cheetal, chinkara, nilgai, and languor. The elusive leopard and tiger both call this reserve home, and visitors who go on tiger safaris there have a decent chance of spotting tigers. We’ll be spending the night in the lodge.

Lodging at the Oberoi Vanyavilas or a comparable establishment

Day 06: Ranthambore – Jaipur (180 kms, 03-hour drive)

Trip to the national park via jeep in the morning. Travel to Jaipur after breakfast. Hotel check-in is required upon arrival.
The rest of the day is at your disposal for whatever you choose to do. Pink, the colour of hospitality in Rajput tradition, is used liberally throughout the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. This Pink City is gorgeous with its spacious avenues, fairy-tale palaces, and rocky strongholds set on bare slopes. Jaipur, the first ever planned city, has a massive wall surrounding it. Travelers will stay in Jaipur for the night.

Stay at the Oberoi Rajvilas or a comparable establishment

Day 07: Jaipur – Bera (Drive 390 Kms/07-hour drive)

After breakfast, hit the road for the scenic 390 kilometres (about 7 hours) to Bera. When you get there, you can either stay in Castel Bera or set up a tent. The town of Bera, Rajasthan, is conveniently close to the Jawai Dam. Popularity surged after a series of spectacular leopard sightings in the area. Seeing leopards near this sandy settlement is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, made all the more special by the fact that you won’t be in a forest. Many species of mammals and birds call Bera home, and visitors come to try to catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard, the powerful bluebull, the cunning crocodile, the constantly mischievous hyena, the elegant pelican, the greylag goose, the robin accentor, the demoiselle crane, and the barheaded goose, just to name a few. After sunset, you and the leopards in their shared habitat can go on a safari. An evening leopard safari followed by dinner and a hotel stay.

Jawai Leopard Safari Lodge or a similar establishment

Day 08–09: Bera

Experience the bright mornings of Rajasthan after breakfast and see amazing animals. On a Rajasthani safari, you can observe rural life both in the morning and the afternoon. Hotel provides all meals.

It’s not just Leopards! Crocodiles are commonly seen in Bera because of its reputation as a prime crocodile habitat. These 15-foot behemoths often lie motionless in the sun among mudflats. Even during rest, they could be as as busy as during the hunt. They are immobile, thus they sometimes blend in with the wetland edges of the reservoir for cover. They spend all day basking in the sun and when they become hungry they plunge into the lake full of fish, making active sightings difficult, but they can be seen any time of year when the sun is shining and sparkling on the coastline.

Jawai Leopard Safari Lodge or a similar establishment

Day 10: Bera – Udaipur – New Delhi (131 kms/03-hour drive + flight)

After an early morning jeep leopard safari in Bera, you’ll head to the Udaipur airport to catch a flight to New Delhi (departing at 15:05 and landing at 16:30). Transport from the airport to the hotel is provided. Stay at a New Delhi hotel for the night.

Lodging: The Roseate, Aerocity, or a comparable establishment

Day 11: New Delhi – Onward

Post breakfast, depart for the New Delhi International Airport to catch your flight back home or to an onward destination.
