Nature Safari India organized our private 2 Weeks Safari in Central India plus a couple of Sightseeing and we are very happy to having choose this agency. I found them on the responsible tiger tourism association (TOFTigers) and I liked them from the very first contact. From the first email more than two years ago to the end of our trip in April 2022, the service was great, the selection of the itinerary, Parks, lodges and guides was perfect. And this although the very difficult travel situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Our trip had to be postponed and rescheduled twice (we were supposed to travel at the end of March 2020), Mr. Deepkul was always very professional, competent, responsive and helpful with all my requests and he went the extra mile. We had a wonderful time in India, we saw a lot of tigers and wildlife, and we hope to come back soon. We warmly recommend Nature Safari India to everyone and in the future, we’ll surely book another tour with them.

We did 5 days of safaris with Sharad Vats's team, in Kanga and Pench, in April 2022. Right from the planning to the actual execution, Sharad was accessible, knowledgeable and helpful, to ensure we got a good experience. Not only was the itinerary planned and tweaked multiple times to suit us, but our accommodation and food needs were also taken care of well. We enjoyed the trip immensely, especially because Sharas understood that we were not just after tiger sightings, but enjoyed birds and trees and other wildlife too, and recommended an itinerary accordingly. The accommodation and food was great. And my particular need of a wifi connection even in these remote areas (because there was a study commitment I could not miss) was also met. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing and totally unforgettable trip to India organised by Nature Safari India, in particular Deepkul (and previously Manjeet). I organised the trip 2 years ago just as the pandemic hit, I had been communicating with Nature Safari India constantly for quite a few months until we finalised on an itinerary, nothing was too much trouble and replies to queries were almost instant. When it came to the actual holiday, all we had to do was get to New Delhi. (As a warning it isn't straightforward to get visas anymore) From then on all was taken care of. We were met at the airport and were looked after from that point, including checking us into the hotel and providing a car and driver for our exclusive use until we left New Delhi. We were driven from each location by drivers who looked after us incredibly well, stopped/slowed down if we wanted to take pictures, they also pointed out interesting sites as we passed. If you have time, I would recommend travelling by car to different locations, as you see a lot more of India. Deepkul monitored us through our whole holiday, checking that we were OK, getting reports from each of our guides and making sure we were happy with our holiday. Our guides and drivers, throughout, were fantastic, so friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful and polite.

Detailed Itinerary Tiger Safari Taj Mahal Tour of India

Day 01 : Arrival in New Delhi

Our representative will meet you at the New Delhi Airport and ensure a smooth transfer to the hotel. They will also assist you with checking in at the hotel. You will receive and receive explanations of all the documents linked to your travel. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 02 : New Delhi – Nagpur – Pench (Flight + 100 kms/2 hrs drive from the airport)

Breakfast first thing in the morning, then transport to the airport for a 05:55 departure, arriving in Nagpur at 07:40. After meeting at the airport, the travellers will drive for two hours to the Pench National Park Post, where they can check into the lodge. The passengers on board can take a jeep tiger safari in the afternoon after lunch to travel to the national park. At the resort, visitors can also have dinner and spend the night.

Day 03 : In Pench National Park

While meals and an overnight stay are planned at the resort, morning and afternoon jeep tiger safaris to the Pench National Park are planned. This tropical wet deciduous forest in Southern India covers 758 sq km and is mixed with tropical dry deciduous teak. A multitude of streams and “nallahs,” the most of which are seasonal, crisscross the area.

Despite the Pench River drying up at the end of April, there are a number of watering holes for wild animals, known locally as “dohs.” During the water shortage, the Pench Reservoir in the park’s middle is the sole significant water source. Due to the large concentration of prey along the Pench River, the watering holes are the greatest places to see tigers. Here is where tigers typically search for prey. Although they occasionally appear in the deep forest, leopards mostly function in the outskirts.

Cheetal and Sambar are frequently spotted grazing in Pench in open areas along roadsides, the banks of rivers, and reservoirs. Anywhere throughout the Park, jackals might be seen in quest of food. Wild dog packs of up to 15 or more have been spotted close to the Reserve’s Chhedia, Jamtara, Bodanala, and Pyorthadi sections.
In the summer, gaur herds are frequently seen by streams and bamboo groves. The rocky sections are home to sloth bears, who love the mahul bel-infested woodland. In extremely small numbers, chinkaras are also seen in open spaces.

Day 04 : Pench–Kanha (210 km/4-5 hour drive)

A morning jeep tiger safari takes you to the Pench national park from where you can drive to Kanha national park in 4-5 hours. On arrival at the park, tourists can check into the resort where you can enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the resort in Kanha.

Day 05 - 07 : In Kanha National Park

At 0500 hours, get up, have tea or coffee and some cookies, and then head to the national park for the morning safari. 940 sq. km of Kanha’s sal and bamboo woods, undulating grasslands, and meandering streams make up the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, which was established in 1974 as part of Project Tiger.

The park is the sole place where the rare hardground Barasingha may be found (Cervus Duvauceli Branderi). This is the actual Kipling nation that he eloquently described in The Jungle Book. A set location is where the lodge’s packed breakfast is served, spread out on the safari vehicle’s bonnet. Enjoy your breakfast in Kanha National Park’s untamed surroundings. If you haven’t already, keep looking for the elusive Tiger while taking in the clean, stimulating environment. Arrive at the hotel/lodge from tiger safari at 11:30. Have lunch, spend time at leisure and get ready for the afternoon safari. After the tiger safari, get back to the hotel by six o’clock. Eat dinner there and spend the night.

Day 08 : Kanha–Bandhavgarh (By road 280 kms/6-hour drive)

Jeep tiger safari to the Kanha National Park in the morning. Drive to Bandhavgarh for six hours after lunch. After you arrive, check in to the lodge, have supper, and spend the night there.

Day 09 - 11 : In Bandhavgarh National Park

In the morning and the afternoon, visitors are taken on jeep tiger safaris across the national park. The strong tiger population in the Bandhavgarh National Park is its most notable feature. The renowned White Tigers of Rewa were first uncovered here. Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison), Chausingha (Four Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deers, Sambar Deers, Exotic Boar, Sloth Bears, Fox, Jackals, Wild Dogs, and others are among the park’s numerous wild attractions. The park is home to 250 different bird species and at least 22 different mammal species. The Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot rat, Jungle Cat, and timid Hyenas are some of the other animals that may be seen in Bandhavgarh.

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris take visitors to the national park. The abundance of tigers in the Bandhavgarh National Park is its main draw. This is where the renowned White Tigers of Rewa were found. Other wild animals that can be seen in the park include leopards, blue bulls, Indian gaur (bison), chausingha (four-horned antelopes), spotted deer, sambar deer, wild boar, sloth bears, fox, jackals, and wild dogs, among others. The park contains at least 22 different kinds of mammals and 250 different kinds of birds. Other creatures spotted in Bandhavgarh are the shy Hyenas, Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot rat, and Jungle Cat.

The earliest traces of human habitation can be found in the park in the sandstone caves to the north of the fort. A few of them have Brahmi inscriptions from the first century B.C. The Maghas from the first century A.D., the Vakatakas from the third century A.D., and other dynasties have all ruled the fort. From that point on, a number of dynasties, including the Chandela Kings, ruled over Bandhavgarh. Bandhavgarh progressively turned into a desolate place till the forest engulfed it and made it the royal hunting reserve.

The Maharaja kept Bandhavgarh as private property until 1968, when he donated it to the government to create the National Park. After the park was established, poaching and hunting were greatly reduced, and animal populations significantly increased. Particularly, the population of tigers increased, and the 1986 addition gave them the necessary forest area to live in. The resort offers lodging for visitors that want to stay over.

Day 12 : Bandhavgarh - Jabalpur - New Delhi (by road 200 kms/4 hrs drive)

Early morning jeep tiger safari in the park. After lunch, tourists are taken on a 4-hour drive to Jabalpur airport where they can board the 17:50 flight to New Delhi. Arrival at New Delhi at 19:45 hrs. foreign tourists make an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 13 : New Delhi – Agra (220 kms/4-5 hrs drive)

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, drive to Agra. A total distance of 220 km, it will take you approximately 04 hours on the road. On arrival check into the hotel. Later, proceed to visit the red sandstone Agra Fort which stands like a crescent on the banks of Yamuna River enclosed by forbidding 20-meter high walls, with a 12- meter moat between them. Three successive Mughal emperors – Akbar, Jehangir, and Shah Jehan – helped create this massive structure that contains Hindu and Muslim architecture. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Agra.

Day 14 : Agra – New Delhi – Onward Destination

After sunrise, head over to the Taj Mahal, a famous white marble monument that Moghul monarch Shah Jehan erected for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the middle of the 17th century.
A total of 20,000 workers and skilled craftsmen from Persia, Turkey, France, and Italy worked on this structure for 17 years before it was finished in 1652. Later, make the 220 km (4 hour) trip to New Delhi. Transfer to the New Delhi International Airport after arriving in order to catch a flight home.
